Challenge
When a privately owned National Archive contacted All Seasons Hire with a problem last summer we had to move fast to provide a solution. The archive stored considerable amounts of cellulose nitrate used up to the 1950’s. The archive’s main air-conditioning system had failed and the film would start to become damaged as temperatures increased.
Also at >38 degrees it can self-combust and even explode! All Seasons Hire arrived on site within hours of the call and devised a temporary cooling solution. A dedicated project manager was quickly appointed and the whole project was completed from inception to commissioning within 24 hours, helping to save some of the nation’s history.
